Growing up in West Texas you remember the hot and dry days. The middle of the day seemed to draw everyone inside. I always saw adobe structures and pueblos as a quiet places. the shapes of rectangles, and squares with small windows and doorways, Bright colors of burn sienna and dusty brown. Shadows that draw together across a long line of shapes changing with the sun. That’s what this painting is.
