Dave Newman has been painting and creating mixed-media art for over thirty years. This painting on board is a part of the Daves Thunderbird series, an acrylic painting on board. While traveling the southwest, Dave collected old license plates, cutting, and sping them to resemble feathers. Dave is known for adding texture adding depth to this painting. Originally from California, Dave spent much time in Prescott, Arizona, gaining influence from the desert and culture. Today, his studio is outside Santa Fe, where he continues making mixed media art.
