Steve Latimer is an artist based in Lakeland, Flor

Steve Latimer is an artist based in Lakeland, Florida, originally from California. He grew up in the West due to his father's Air Force career, experiencing the beauty of California and Texas, as well as New Mexico and Arizona. Art has been a significant part of his life; he earned an AA Degree from Polk Jr College in 1967 and later majored in fine arts at the University of South Florida.

The experiences and history from his upbringing greatly influence his paintings. His artistic journey has evolved from realism to abstraction, blending modernism into his work. This shift allows for a deeper connection with the viewer, encouraging them to engage with the emotions and messages behind his art.

This is a stylized dragonfly pendant by Tim Herrera in sterling silver with 14k gold dot accents. Tim set this beautiful pendant with turquoise, lapis and green jade. The back of the pendant was left open to allow light to pass through the jade showing its deep green color.

Here is a photo from around the 1980’s of two of the greatest jewelers of all time, Charles Supplee and Pierre Touraine. Charles Supplee was know for his contemporary Hopi jewelry which Pierre help Charles advance his jewelry making techniques. My great Aunt Lovena Ohl worked with Pierre for over five years and we met Charles and started showing his jewelry in the Gallery. Charles wasn’t the only artist who work with Pierre but other master jewelers like Charles Loloma, Harvey Begay, Larry Golsh.

During the 1930s, Pierre Touraine gained fame for making jewelry for European celebrities in France. In 1938, he relocated to the United States and worked for Harry Winston. His passion for Southwestern American Indian jewelry eventually led him to Arizona. Touraine had a profound influence on me, inspiring me to collaborate with the finest American Indian jewelers, a legacy I continue to uphold to this day.

This is a long-haired Navajo Yei, which Ric Charlie designed as the whole bracelet. He added a nice multi-colored patina and set the Yei’s eyes with two triangle turquoise stones and the mount with an opal. Check out the multi-level carving Ric was able to achieve in the tufa stone for this sterling silver tufa cast bracelet. Ric is known today as the best Tufa cast jeweler.

These are 14k gold North West Coast style earrings with an eagle design by artist David Neel. These are post earrings. David is known for his stunning jewelry which he has been making for over thirty years.
The eagle is revered for its beauty, and regal nature and signifies peace, spirituality, and friendship.
