We were honored to place this museum-quality necklace by Raymond Yazzie into a private collection.

The necklace features rare fossilized Lone Mountain turquoise, formed when turquoise replaced a crinoid stem fossil—creating an organic pattern unlike any other.

Yazzie’s precision is on full display in the two gold beads, each inlaid with micro-fine opal, fossil turquoise, coal, and lapis, and sugilite. The colors elevate the deep blue-green stones.

This handmade ring by Navajo jeweler Boyd Tsosie captures a cosmos style scene in wearable form. With a bold rectangular face inlaid with turquoise, lapis, coral, sugilite, and jet—each stone floats like a celestial body across a deep night-sky of jet inlaid backdrop.

Gold accents, including a micro-star and square, bring a polished brightness and balance to the tufa cast texture design. The inlay is set within serrated bezels atop a tufa-cast sterling silver band, combining traditional technique with contemporary vision.

Charles Loloma (1921-1991)

This is a 14k gold hight bracelet by the Father of Contemporary American Indian jewelry, Charles Loloma. Charles started making his jewelry in the 1950s, and my Great Aunt Lovena influenced Charles to use gold in his jewelry in the 1970s. When I began working with Lovena in the 1980s, she asked her business Partner, John, who had access to industrial diamonds and helped get Charles the proper tooling to cut the charotie stone, which comes from Siberia. Charles’s ability to mix colors of semi-presious gemstones like this bracelet with the inlaid charoite, turquoise, lapis, coral, and even the fine-line gold accents set his artistry ahead of his time. Charles was heavily influenced by living at Hopi and studying the beautiful landscape and the Hopi Mesa, where the height and angles of the inlay come into view on this bracelet. Charles signed the back of this bracelet “Loloma”.

Don Supplee | Coral, Turquoise, and 18k Gold Hopi Maiden Necklace

In this piece, Don Supplee reflects Hopi cultural tradition through contemporary form. The necklace unfolds in two strands of Mediterranean coral with turquoise nuggets and delicate 18k gold disk accents.

Suspended at the center, the inlaid pendant is a stylized Hopi Maiden inlaid with Lone Mountain, Kingman, and Candelaria turquoise; the figure is framed in gold and brought to life through an intricate composition of finely cut stones.

Though visually striking, it invites contemplation, as all of Supplee’s best work does—not simply worn but carried.
