Faust Gallery is one of the country’s premier destinations for museum-quality American Indian art and jewelry, with established locations in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Santa Fe, New Mexico. For over three decades, the gallery has served collectors, museums, and art lovers seeking the very best in historic and contemporary Native American jewelry and fine art.
The gallery was founded by William A. Faust II, whose journey into the world of Native art began in 1981, when he started working alongside his great-aunt, the respected dealer and gallerist Lovena Ohl. Lovena was already a powerful force in the field—having served as manager of the Heard Museum Gift Shop in Phoenix, where she helped shape its identity as a source of museum-quality Native art and jewelry. Her eye for excellence and unwavering standards set the tone not only for the Heard, but also for the generations of collectors and dealers who followed her lead.
Lovena Ohl went on to establish her own gallery and earned national recognition for championing American Indian jewelry and art during a time when it was still fighting for serious attention in the fine art world. Her reputation for curating high-caliber works and mentoring young artists was key in elevating Native jewelry as a true art form.
Guided by her example and values, Bill Faust founded Faust Gallery with a mission to uphold the same level of integrity, cultural respect, and artistic excellence. While the gallery is celebrated for its outstanding Native jewelry collections, it has always showcased a wider vision—featuring American Indian fine art in all forms, and occasionally non-Native contemporary artists whose work aligns with that standard of quality and innovation.
